A Little About Me

Karlie Mullins, BSN, FNP, is a certified family nurse practitioner. She is originally from Northern California but has called Tennessee home for 9 years. Karlie attended Azusa Pacific University in Southern California for her BSN and practiced for 6 years while completing her master’s in nursing. Karlie has been practicing as a nurse practitioner for 3 years.

Karlie has always loved the caring aspect of medicine and the ability to help someone in what is sometimes their most difficult times in life. She believes that there is such a strong impact we can have on people when we meet their physical needs in the medical setting. She also loves learning new things through practicing medicine and enjoys Family Medicine because she gets to work with all ages. Her favorite part about her job is helping people, even if it is just listening and communicating with patients and providing them support. Karlie’s care philosophy is that a patient comes first. They have emotions, beliefs, desires, and goals and it is her call to treat them as such by being compassionate, patient, and wise in her time and treatment plan for them.

Her ideal day off is spent with her family outside whether it be hiking, working in the garden, or just spending time in the yard. She is an active member of her church and enjoys connecting with other people and families. Her favorite part about Chattanooga is the diversity. There is so much to do around the city whether it be sightseeing or eating some incredible food downtown.
